Recommended for applications where the sensors are installed across two-way traffic. The purpose of the visible red sensor beam is to complement the infrared sensor beam – visible red and infrared wavelengths respond differently to various weather conditions (i.e. infrared better with fog, visible red stronger thru rain).
Models using both Red and IR beams have balanced performance for most weather conditions.
